Sorry I need to vent, but just to be clear it isn't aimed at anyone on this forum.
I came across another discussion thread and this poster attacked those of us who stick by out SO's in prison. They feel they don't need the forum since their loved one will be out in about a month...my thinking was ...well imagine every curse word a sailor would know, and that was what I wanted to say.
But also thinking, how hypocritical this person was. They came to DS for support because their loved one went to prison for breaking the law. Yet, they had the nerve of calling us weak and basically stupid for standing by our loved ones. Saying we must be stupid if we think they are innocent, or unable to live without them so we look over their crimes against children. Apprarantly, they don't know us very well. We are not weak (if we were, we would have left), we are not dumb (we can point out the flaws in the cases and look at things logically to see innocence).
I hate hypocrites....all the reason why I have left my last church and joined a new one that has an outreach to those incarcerated and their families.
You all are friends and I hate seeing all of us being attacked. My name may be thoughtasweak, but I am in no way weak.

Karma is going to bite her real bad! She is going to have her day where she will feel judged the same way she judged all of us. I too agree with what you said Rew. I don't judge someone based on the crime - it could be a family member of the boston bombers on there for support, and I wouldn't judge them because they would be hurting just as much as I was.
As far as guilt goes, my philosophy is, if they were truely guilty and admitted it, took accountability for it and turned their life around, then I'm fine with them. Some however need to live that prison experience a few times before they can get their act together.
And what did she do? She dropped a bomb just before she left, severely criticizing those who support a guy with a sex offense, saying that the ladies are putting their husbands before the victim. And concerning the men who proclaim their innocence, she said "THEY DID IT," and that the wives were living a lie. She went on to make some snarky comment about how could a woman love a man who wanted to have sex with a child.
She excoriated some of the very same people who gave her comfort and support.
She began that old, "my man's crime is not as bad as your man's crime" which has no place on a support board. We are all here for encouragement, not condemnation.
