My fiance's fees were a very minimal court fee, the interstate compact fee and I believe he had to pay for another test.

When he got out of jail he had two polygraphs to take which were called instant offense and sexual history I believe. Those combined cost about $900.

He has $60 a month for probation and he pays $30 a week for group therapy. We pay $12 a month for his monitoring software for his computer/smart phone. He also has his polygraph tests that are yearly that run around $200. He had to take several personality tests that were $150 each. We found out he has to retake two of them because they didn't transfer when they switched group providers. Also, when the switched group providers all of the work he did with the previous provider was null and void, so that was a wasted two years of his life and money.

When he completes group he has to take 2 polygraph tests (unsure of the cost) and the PPG that is $400. He'll also have to take several other test. The exit cost for his group is going to be about $1000.

Wow did you read that decision REW posted??? Unbelievable! I hope that case goes further! Not only did the judge say they had to pay it but the 2 men in the case are not even living int hat state any longer!!!! So they do not live in Wisconsin but every year they have to pay them 100 dollars!! That is just so unbelievable I cannot get my head around it! Then in the case they had asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons and the judge denied it say something akin to how could it harm them anymore since they are already on the registry??? What a total ass!!!

Life parole/Registration means over time fines and fee's just keep going up and up as long as your son is on parole. And if he was ordered to pay restitution that must be paid too. Also therapy is required once a month/ or a couple of times a month etc. whatever they say...(usually the therapy aka "provided" must be a therapist the Parole department designates as one of theirs) but your son will have to pay the therapist himself. One on Once can be $100+ per session, group therapy is less but sometimes oftener..) the problem is that after years and years of bad therapy by therapists as prejudiced against SO's as the general public the "therapy" itself wears people down. I talked to one wife who said they had a "wives//GF's/ mothers therapy group. (The therapists referred to them as "escorts!") but the purpose was to make the wives etc. responsible for reporting if their guy was going off his safety plan. She quit. Said she wasn't a snitch nor was she the parole officer. She said after her experience, she would never turn anyone in unless there was a small child involved.

My son had $100, which I paid before he was released. Except for the mental health treatment, which he had 6 months of, he has no other fees.

He is currently in jail awaiting plea/trial sentencing but we were told to expect pre and post fines which to me are ludicrous.

I would never even relay this info to him right now...it's way too depressing.

My brother had to pay about $600 in court costs. Other fines that he was facing was roughly $30k per charge (7 of them). But those were waived as he was sentenced to 30 years.
