DealRMe....that all makes me so sad. These people are cowards....striking anonymously then running away. Eventually they will move on to another victim to harass. These types usually do. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

DealRMe I vote that you advise your Uncle to wear a shirt and a tie. Have him look dignified and proud and tell him that this is not his problem it is the problem of others. He has served his time and is just trying to abide by the law.

He is no way a lesser person from what happened. It is truly time for him and everyone to stand up to the injustices against Registrants.

They are going to make the crap either way, might as well look professional in them. There are two ways to handle bullies like this, ignore them and live despite their BS. This usually will infuriate the assholes of the world, so in return you continue to hand them rope. Documenting their harassment, if they mail things, call the house, step on the property, etc. There will come a time when all of that documentation could help him get them off his back for good. But if he doesn't document, doesn't file complaints with the police/sheriff/state/FBI then he can't expect them to change either. Bullies will continue to bully for as long as they can get away with it, if they can no longer do that without consequences then they will more than likely choose to stop on their own, mainly because they are usually fairly lazy people that don't really want to work all that hard for much of anything. Otherwise they would be working vs bullying your uncle.

My husband and I have experienced minimal 'bullying' Just a few comments here and there from the in-laws and their lackys. Actually, my husband really has experienced none of it. I'm the one, who has heard it. he remains blissfully unaware and that's ok. They try shit, and I run interference, and he goes about his life happily
The only time they got "through" was when they managed to get him fired from a "crap job" he had, which was okay, cos it lead to me getting the position I have now, which pays way more and has better benefits than what I had, and he found another job elsewhere, and just interviewd for another job, where they like to give second chances so....
The icing on the cake is when my in-laws come to the my work looking for help, saw me, and turned around and left. *shrug* I would have helped them, did my job professionally, and had been pleasant

I agree Wisconsin. Look professional and live life. Do not allow them to bully. And I agree faeryedark the best revenge is to make a success of one's life in spite of it. It is time to stand up, speak out, stand together and support groups that are attempting to do just that. Then It will be just a matter of time I think until the whole thing comes tumbling down.

The thing is, he has to be willing to fight back, to be fed up about it, rather than defeated and ready to give up all together, which is where it sounds like he is. None of us can will him confidence and anger that would help him get through this and stand up to those bullies. Who wouldn't even have any power if it weren't for the internet and the ease in which they can set up a free site and harass someone.

I can't remember if it has been mentioned but their hosting site probably has an anti-harassment clause in their Terms & Conditions. You can do a whois on the domain name (if they purchased one) and find out who hosts the site, file a complaint with the server/hosts of the site and they are posting that stuff on. Usually a well worded email or letter, possibly implying that there could be legal issues if the site were to remain up (regardless if there are any, they can do their own legal research).

But since the photos are the main part of the bullying, I would say that he should wear as nice of clothes as he can. Shoot rent a tux... really give them something to talk about.

Well stated wisconsinsol I could not agree with you more. It is time to no long allow the media, society or anyone else for that matter make any registrant feel less than. It is time to stand up, speak out and stand united..........together we can make a difference.

I understand they made all that, but he doesn't HAVE to look at any of it.
They do it, because they know it gets to him. It loses it's luster, if he doesn't let it bother him

I will not post the links again but did you guys see how they made an entire website and have made hundreds of YouTube videos just making fun of my uncle? It's not just a few random people around town... he has some weird internet following and they even wrote a book making fun of him on amazon... they blew up with new stuff with his new pic. They say he's aging... OF course he is! grrrrr....

Yeah, I saw it. Why do you keep visiting it? Are they coming to his house and harassing him?
