Actually the Oath for LE recommended by the International Association of Chiefs of Police is as follows

On my honor, I will never betray my badge, my integrity, my character or the public trust. I will always have the courage to hold myself and others accountable for our actions. I will always uphold the Constitution, my community, and the agency I serve.

As you can see it is very community oriented and talks about integrity - it also talks about the Constitution which is the source of the rights that are supposed to protect us

yeah it's a form of organized crime alright. legal organized crime!

makes me thing of the small towns in tx and ms that are pulling people over, doing search and seizure on any money found. have seen more than a few of those stories.

until someone somewhere actually grow a pair and is willing to buck the prevailing norm??? and even then it will be a long rough road!

A NJS P.O. Comes to my door to clear my home for when my son gets out 5 months later. He had lied about what I said to him and he did it under oath. I was told that I couldn't refute his testimony at his PB hearing.
SOOOOO..... He comes to my door and identifies himself. Since we had a very good report e previously I stated to him calmly. "I know who you are and Im upset at you "
He: "For What?"
Me: "For lying about what I said to you before the PB at my sons hearing"
He: "How did I lie" FOLDING ARMS ACROSS CHEST.
Other brief calm conversation.
Me: "Do you take an oath of office to tell the truth"?
He: UNFOLDING HIS ARMS, PULLING BACK HIS JACKET AND DISPLAYING HIS WEAPON "Yeah why?"
At that time I put my hands in the air and Stated >>>>>"WHAOOO I'M NOT A THREAT TO YOU AM I?" I was afraid honestly!!
HE: "NO"
He then stated clearly as he walked away. "I dont need to hear this f****N shit. I deny that you son can live with you. Let him live with his mother"

I went up the line with my complaint to the NJ State AG's office. They refused to take the complaint and I just recently found out why.
The P.O. had listed in the the chronologicals 2 MONTHS after the event. (Obviously the original was lost in the system) that: "I" was the person who cursed out the P.O. and there was no displaying of the weapon.

I told them to check his (P.O.'S) in car video cam that showed him at my door. They dropped the whole complaint.
I offered to take and pay for a lie detector test. They refuse to answer that request.

THE entire system is nothing less than corrupt. Cops covering for other cops at any level. Attorneys covering for other Attorney's at every level.

OP: I would not give them anything including access to my home or PC without a warrant.. ANYTHING you say or do can be turned around against you if thats what they want to do.

And with so many Vets coming home from the war with emotional issues and signing up for cop duty. My son is paranoid but I'm even more than he is and it surprises him when I tell him our government looks into our business without permission. He says they need warrants for everything, including looking into your computer and I tell him they don't.

I'm getting security cameras at my shop & home next week.. It's time to do that.

Nak, it's good that you are going to be proactive towards you and your son's safety and well being. the old saw of " better safe than sorry" has been proven true, time and time again.

i would put them in every freaking room if you can afford it. and one on the porch or outside entrance. plus one directly aimed at the front doors from the inside!!!!

They took my son's phone, camera AND computer and won't return any of it. Even though he's been sentenced and is doing his time they will not return those items to me. They told me they would junk them!

damn! well they sure didn't get her camera, i've got that and now they're at least gonna give her phone back. i highly doubt that they are using her laptop for anything. i don't think that they will destroy it either. doesn't the fbi hold auctions on stuff like that? stuff that they confiscate.

I know hear they hold auctions for stuff that they take but they also have to hang on to it for a set amount of time before they do it...they say the stuff there auction off is processed of crime or some crap like that.
As fair as the laptop gos the can take out the hard drive to it along with the memory to it and give it back then you just have to replace the hard drive.....yes they can wipe them.

yeah they ruined mine when they wiped it and it was brand new - got a new hard drive etc. I think they ruined the processor of something - any way here is to show you how dumb they are too - they took every bit of technology from our house - all computers even if they were not my sons - all cameras - an xbox and a PlayStation - they wanted to take the DVR from directv and I loudly protested saying it did not really belong to me and there was no way to put info onto it that was not on the TV - they took a box of homemade CDs that had all cartoons on them - they took all thumb drives and external hard drives. they only took my sons phone.

Now here is the dumb stuff - when I went to gt my stuff returned I had to fight tooth and nail - the prosecutor did not want to return my items - in the hearing I realized why - becasue he admitted in open court that forensics had never been done on any of the items! The judge (even tho for the most part I thought she was a jerk and biased when it came to my son) - was really pissed! She said something to the effect that they could not withhold the property that was not in question becasue of their shortcomings! lol I think what happened was that when they served the warrant it had listed in it several items that were known CP - those items were not found on my sons computer! However they did find other suspected CP - personally I think they lacked the resources or the support to get forensics done on those found items - but that is a whole other story (I actually think they tried to get the feds involved but the feds may have refused) - anyway th judge asked them if they could wipe or remove the hard drive of my laptop and the representative form the sheriff office hem hawed and said oh we don;t know how to do that blah blah blah. Finally the judge lost her patience and ordered them to either remove it or wipe it and return it to me by weeks end. here is the kicker tho - when I went to pick it up they gave me my laptop back but they also gave me EVERYTHING else except my son's laptop. All the CDs (I knew there was nothing on them but they had never been checked by them!) - they gave me my sons video camera and still camera - the Xbox and PlayStation - ALL of it! LOL The judge had not ordered that! There was no contraband on any of those items but still ...

Keeping people's stuff is not justice. That's theft! This is outrageous. My husband's charge was not CP, although they could have taken all our electronics on suspicion, but they didn't end up taking anything. I thought that they would. Apparently, they thought he had enough charges as it was!

This thread exemplifies why I detest the federal agents and the organizations they represent. They have no class.

Here we have mothers and wives who have done NOTHING AT ALL having their computers seized by a bunch of hooligans with badges during these raids. These ladies and family members are not rich by any means and they spent their hard earned money to purchase these computers, but even though the digital devices are no longer useful to the government, they still will not give them back.

Folks, that is pure meanness.

Many time these family members never get their property back or if they do, the computers and digital devices are no longer operative.

Why do these three lettered organizations do this? Why are they so mean-spirited? Why do they have such little humanity and a lack of class that they feel they have to steal from the families?

CP defendants are demonized by the media and hated by much of the public, but trust me, these agents that act this way are far more EVIL than the majority of CP defendants. They are just as bad, morally, as some of the people they arrest every day.

I have often said that you can get a glimpse of someone's heart by observing how they treat the members of society that sometimes cannot fend for themselves------animals, children, older folks, and women in many instances. If a person cannot be respectful to these groups of people and animals, who can they be respectful to?

Just a bunch of out-of-control thugs and criminals hiding behind a badge. Stresses me out so much.

lillymom; from what i was told by the cops/fbi, that they were going to use the daughters laptop and masquerade as her on her laptop, to reael in anyone else that she had been doing "stuff" with. and that there were ways that someone who was good would see that it was a new isp. but, they could also tell whether it was the same computer too. and that if they could see it was the same computer that even with a different isp that they wouldn't really get all that suspicious because it 'was' the same computer and her name.

Echo - if that is true that does not seem entirely legal to me! I am no expert and I know there are those that understand more about some of this stuff than I do but that seems really shady to me. Posing as a real person to use the contraband on that persons computer to entrap others? Hmmmmm

no different than taking over and running the porn sites that the FBI did. they put together "their" own trap files and allowed them to be downloaded so that they could track them and arrest those people. but no word on any of the other files and what not that were downloaded but were not trapped.

all fine and dandy because "they" were doing it in the name of crime and child porn fighting... now that to me is the dirtiest!!!

That doesn't sound right to me at all..but we do live in strange times.
I know hear guys don't get there stuff back at all and they have just passed a new law if you're a drug dealer or trafficker you loss everything house, cars the lot....iam wondering when they will do the same to SO now.
