Calls and visits tomorrow.. register and hope for the best just trying to find out if it is in the county of work or where I will be staying in the hotel.... calls in the am will fix this

I made my hart and head match my actions and told HR at work. I am now back home waiting for new on if I go back to Maryland for work...... at least now I will not be looking over my shoulder wondering if I committed to a lease, house etc.. and then get canned.. this has always been my personal battle with a job... tell them and loose it from the start or not and then pray that they don't find out.....

I would love to hear how others have approached this issue and anything that could help.... of course, loose most but..

Wow, work is not dumping and will discuss options as to the future and let me know... maybe there are those out there that have a bigger heart then I ever expected.. I have only known these people for a couple of weeks and they haven't tossed me to the curb.. Thank you God for meeting these people..

Thank you. Lessons learned from this is to:

1) Always follow you heart because I wanted to inform them of the past before taking he position but listened to others say not to. Yes I may have lost the job but I would not have gone through what I have nor would these incredible people.Also would not have gone through the internal conflict that has been making me sick.

2) There are people who will look at how long you have been out and decide that maybe it's time to: know that thus is a serious issue in an office with the dynamics that grow with having people in a single location. BUT want to see what can be worked out.

3) If even at the end of the next couple of weeks nothing can be worked out I have hope that there are more people/individuals out there with the same attitude and all is not lost.

Well, so far I still have the job. Have been working remote for the last week and this coming week.. Still no 100% outcome but at least it seems that all parties are willing to try.

May be asked to move closer to the office and do a spit of remote and on site but that would now mean that I have the surronding states, Northern VA, WVA, PA, Delaware and parts of NJ to look at... anyone have any input as to what would be considered the better???

Wow, I can't believe the turn of events. If you would have ever told me that would still have my job after a disclosure I would have lost everything in the bet. It was still a not an easy thing to disclose when legally you are not obligated to do so. I am so happy that I followed my heart. No, everyone there does not know except those that need to. So yes there is still the fear that goes with that but they are standing by me. I thank God for this and for the strength to continue on this path. All I can say is that there is hope for us. It is not easy. There were so many doors slammed in my face and more but after 17 years working on myself and a new profession it has paid off. If I can have this than others can as well.....

Now, I have asked to consider moving closer to the area which means states like PA, DE, NJ, NY and Northern VA (Running away from WVA) and need to decide if I should stay in NY or look into these other states.. There is part of me that still fears this unknown and would love to have any input on personal experiences....
