I found this board about 18 months ago when my husband was arrested following a fugitive apprehension. The experience has nearly destroyed my family and broken my heart. I have gained so much information and advice from this site and I've learned much, sometimes more than I wanted to know, sometimes the advice was more than I could bear. My husband still sits in federal custody in a highly sensitive federal case that is at a virtual standstill. I have probably lost him forever to the federal penal system. In the midst of my journey I wrote a book about my experience and the journey I have been on. My book went for sale on Amazon today. It's called Crawling Through The Valley, By Melanie Thompson and I wanted to share that news with everyone on this forum. So many of you shared your time and attention with me and I am forever grateful. Ralph.....you are especially appreciated and there is a dedication to you in my book! I have appreciated your concern and your brutal honesty at a time it was hardest to hear. I will be checking in here now and then as my husband's case progresses and I begin searching for answers to the unknown. I hope my book proves to be of interest to families of those incarcerated and to those incarcerated as well. Thank you all for being a soft and safe place for me to land. When your loved one faces these types of charges, the safe places are few and far between.
