I don't question God, no. I wonder sometimes, but I always know He has a reason for everything. God doesn't take people from us, He brings them to Him.
I found this poem about the death of children and why God takes them:
Why God Takes Little Children

When God calls little children
to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometimes question
the wisdom of His love.

For no heartache compares with,
the death of one small child.
Who does so much to make our world,
seem so wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to His fold.

God knows how much we need them,

I think we are all here on Earth to serve a specific purpose, and once that purpose is served God brings us home. Now for the trials and tribulations, I think he challenges us. So that we can grow. I know that probably doesn't help with the loss of a loved one, but I'm hoping it helps me when the time comes that I face the loss of a loved one. How do I get my answers from above? Usually unknowingly....

I dont know the answer for anyone else. I only know that for myself I dont believe in god. I know that is a very unpopular stance but there have been so many more things in my life from beginning to now that have brought me to that decision.

Do I think it is wrong to question and to ask why? No I dont. It is natural and part of being able to cope with things so that you can move on from it. It is for us to question the world and events and unknowns around us it is part of human nature.

i agree Shannon, i dont 100% believe in god, i belive there may be someone somewhere, an essence of a creator maybe? but to say there is no one above us constantly making everything happen for a reason, taking lives for a reason, putting us thorugh hurt for a reason is obserd.
So do we mean god is phsycic? that he knows what we are to do next because he planned it?
I have alot of WHY questions myself, but i doubt if there is a god.

I believe in God and I know I couldn't get through this without him. That's not to say that I haven't asked him "why" many times - most particularly when I know that my man is doing time for something he didn't do. Sometimes I even think he has earplugs in when I pray. However, I've learned over the past years that there is a reason for everything. We cannot have testimony without test. And everything we've been through has made us (me & Shannon) stronger people and only brought us closer. God does not do the bad things that happens to us. We have choices and sometimes other people's choices will effect us - like a ripple effect. Shannon made bad choices in friends and so there are consequences. I made the choice to marry him while he was still incarcerated. If I knew everything I know now, I'd still make that choice. God has blessed me with a once-in-a-lifetime love, wonderful daughters and grandchildren, good friends, a home, and a job. he will provide the things we need, not necessarily what we want. Part of our test is our faith and no matter how bad it has gotten or will get, I have faith that God will carry me through it when I am weak. He will guide me around every obstacle.

Yes I think we all question God. I believe that God alows things to happen but that he uses these things that were meant for evil to be used for good. I know that I have ask why many times during this past year, I don't have the answer, but I know there is a reason. I may not know this reason until I am with Him. I try and count my blessings instead of focusing on the negative.
I could not make it through this with out God in my life. My husband is a minister and so we have preached this for years and now we are having to live it. Life is about choices and My choice is to chose God. He never said that live would be easy He just said that He would help us through this. I know that God has used this situation to bring people to Him. I love God with all my heart. Just remember we are not perfect but we serv a perfect God. We are human and therefore we question things. It will either bring you closer to God or drive you away. It is your decision. I serve an awesome God.

how can you serve someone you dont ever see or hear from?you have faith in a being that doesnt exsist? and i dont agree with "he will provide the things we need, not necessarily what we want. " because there are many things i need right now, basic needs i am struggling without. I have helped myself through all my troubles, with quick thinking and "suvival skills" siting around and praying for help would only leave me hungry and without a lot more than i have myself.
I prefer to have faith in myself and the people who can physically help me.
There are so many things that make me think god is just a story reaching back over years being built up through generations.
I understand religion is very important to some people and i think that if they are happy then ok, but i personally do not believe in him at all. x

I will admit, i do pray when i feel like im at my lowest and i beg god to change whatever it is making me feel so upset, but doesnt everyone? i think whether we believe in god or not we always turn to him in desperation when we see no other way our situation can be helped. x

We shouldn't question God.
Although we can ask questions and answers.

Only God knows what's the best for us.
Why great/bad things happen in life? Well, only mighty God know the answers.

Why don't we ever ...ever blame "Satan" ? The powerful evil surpent?
Caused 1st SIN through Adam and Eve.

Unfortunately, it take more tradegy to seek GOD.
When everythings going well in life, we tend to to more distant in our faith and reading the BIBLE.

God loves us so much that he sent his only son, JESUS to be our savior, who so seek him shall have ever lasting life! WOW ! that's a FREE gift and a promise.

GOD shall never forsake us !

I find it hard to believe the bible as its centuries old, so how many times has it been written and changed?
There is never any smoke without fire but the da vinci code was an interesting book to me, so why dont we re write that for a few thousand years and maybe evryone will pray to Mary the miracle worker in their hour of need?

A man went to a barbershop to have
his hair cut and his beard trimmed.

As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation.

They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said:

'I don't believe that God exists.'

'Why do you say that?' asked the customer.

'Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist.

Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people?

Would there be abandoned children?

If God existed, there would be neither
suffering nor pain.

I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.'


The customer thought for a moment,
but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument.

The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop.


Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard.

He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber:

'You know what? Barbers do not

'How can you say that?' asked the surprised barber.

'I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!'

That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help.
That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world.

i thought everyone's god children, gods loves all etc?
if a paranoid man believes someone is trying to kill him for too long it becomes a reality to him, doesnt mean thats that person really is trying to kill him!!

I completely understand not believing. I am not asking you to believe anything, you don't want to, but here are the answers to your questions.....

The Da Vinci Code is a controversial mystery/detective novel by US author Dan Brown, published in 2003 by Doubleday.

Notice this book is a novel, not a true story.

The bible has been re-written and updated into various versions, so more people can read and understand.

All-knowing and psychic are not the same thing.

To refer to someone you say does not exist as a Him, is a contradiction.

I believe in God and find that I question if God is real, and everytime I question it, my answer is yes. God is all around me. I can't speak for anyone else, but I think it's healthy and natural to question things you don't see or feel. No harm in that. I don't know that I believe everything written in the bible. Man wrote the bible from tablets. Man has faults. So for me I believe the bible is a rough draft of something God wanted us to read. I know this is a strange stance.. Most everyone that believes in God believes in the bible. I don't mind being different. I know right from wrong, and try to choose right at every opportunity. Of course I fail sometimes. I'm human. I pray to God all the time, I thank God all the time. I know I could have it worse then I do. A lot worse in fact. I'm thankful for EVERY thing I have in my life and for everyone that loves me. I ask why all the time. Why me? Why him? Why them? I'm always questioning God. And I know that my prayers and questions and thoughts are always heard and are always being answered. I just might not like the answer. If ever in my life I face a challenge and learn nothing from it, that is the only time I will really consider that there is no God. But that's just for me. We all have our own beliefs. Mine is simple. If you believe in God, Mary, Buddha, or any other religion that has a higher good power, then we are all praying to the same God/higher power. It's pretty much a matter of geographics as to who/what you pray to. I couldn't be happy in this life if I didn't believe in God.

I haven't read the barber story so not sure where the paranoid line comes into play, but I remember something funny I heard one time..

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you're wrong.
