Just wondering. . . There is not allot of info to go on here, Dandigirl.
Me personally I don't think/feel it's being clingy to want to hear from your partner everyday, especially in our situation, however being that we are in this situation we can't sit by the phone everyday as there are times when they can't call, ie.lockdown, etc, etc.
I have anxiety and my hubz to be has a medical condition so yes I too always want to hear from him but I had to learn how to cope with the weekly letter(s) and monthly calls and know that he's ok and he loves me to the moon and back!
Have a deep talk as to why he broke up. Maybe he was scared that you'd leave him or something. Mine felt like that at one point in time because we have some years to go before he's back home.
They go through a lot of crazy stuff in there and it can mess with their head in a bad way, meaning things being taken out on you that weren't meant for you. I learned this after many months of pulling teeth for my HTB to tell me what's wrong and his butt still shuts me out on certain things, but that's to not have my anxiety go through the roof.
So definitely talk to him and go from there. Good luck!
