Hi everyone, I am new to this support group. My boyfriend is going to jail the first week in January and lately he has been so distant. Constantly going out and not coming home for a long time while I am at home with our 3 year old daughter. I can't even remember the last time we had sex or had alone time to cuddle. Is this a normal behavior for someone who is going to jail soon? Thanks!

This reaction has presented more than once in my own family. As one of my brothers put it, "It's gonna be at least 2 years before I will get to come home. I'm just weaning myself off all the things I love."

That makes sense, it just hurts when all you want to do is spend as much time as possible with them :(

I have yet to see a pain-free way through this process. Please let me know if you find one. Mine is a multi-generational family cycle and. . .

This is one of the slower forums on DS. May I suggest you take the time to surf around and see what other forums might help you through all this? Don't let yourself get too lost in the forum labels. Ya never can tell which tree the nut you need will fall out of.

    My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart.  Used a different debit card and pulled apart everything looking for missing debit card before I left parking lot.  Got home, dropped keys.
