@ihate so when do we start this little trip of ours? Its getting cold hear and me and D are missing the sun:(
@whatajoke your welcome to come along! :)
Seriously, I wish there was some way to bring people from here together. A rally of lost and sad women, and men too, who miss their people in prison.
And then a HUGE rally to protest the unjust justice system, in the US, Canada, Britain and wherever our friends on here live. We do have a huge amount of people on DS. You would think there would be something we could do to make changes. Seems today people rally in huge numbers to get noticed, for numerous reasons. It's just how to organize it and where, and what it could accomplish.
If legislators here had someone in prison, their thoughts would change on laws of how they run the prisons. They live in a bubble of a happy life with no one in, so they just assume people in trouble are bad people. They don't look at the circumstances, if prison is the answer ( sometimes NOT), they don't look at the expense to taxpayers, or the way it actually harms society more than helps it. They live in their safe bubble thinking that all people in prison are bad. What about the people arresting them. We know there are bad ones in there. What about the courts how they are run, that if you have money, and can afford some lawyer that is well known, expensive and a bit shady who knows a DA or judge, those that may need to be locked up go free, while people who did very little or nothing will sit a long time.
No one in our government is ever going to care enough to change this. It is not politically correct and not good when voting time comes around.
Suchaslife, I will see you halfway... someday. Maybe it could be on dry land. I really think besides dying of fear, and high waves swamping my canoe, I would die of boredom paddling for umpteen days. HAHA
And do cell phones work on the ocean, so that he can call me 4 times a day?
Bec, you have to give us information on is there really kangaroo's hoping around all over Australia? And how to adjust to the upside down time difference, and you are in WINTER now.. ewww, we are finally getting nice weather here. We do have things to discuss about this trip, but it sure would be fun.
MAYBE a plane would be better, but who can afford that. My daughter went to the Olympics there in Sydney a few years ago. Loved it. Stayed on some island in a little camp with her dance group that performed there. She saw peacocks strolling around, and kangaroo.
Joslyn your welcome to come along too :)
Ok ihate we do have skipys (kangaroos ) all over the place including on the road.......they can do a bit of damage if you hit them! Yes we are heading into winter hear its cold but we don't get the snow like you guys do (it does snow hear but way up in the hills) so its probably still warm for you guys!
A lady I met from there ( from the fanclub I was in) we were in had never seen snow and said she prayed for snow while she was here. She got her wish, we got a spring blizzard when she was here so she got her wish.. LoL.
What is your low temperatures in the winter? And highs in the summer?
To DaybyDay14...didn't mean to hijack your post!! I hate the reason we are all here but so thankful we can all be here for each other!!!
