one other? he surprised me by showing up at my front door when he was let out of jail early.... in for 5 instead of 6 months....and I screamed and yelled...and cried, but alas, he went back to drinking soon after...but it was a good moment, while it lasted.
The times I remember being most proud are also hard to choose from. He has ADD and dyslexia, and I was really proud after his tutoring when he picked up a Harry Potter book and read the whole thing. I was very proud on the day he received his black belt in karate and even more proud when he got his second degree black belt. My other choice was watching him at his violin recitals when he got to be really good. (He doesn't remember how to play now). I really wish he would pick up the violin and play it again.
Thanks for the uplifting post
If I asked my mother what were the happiest times, she'd break down into tears. I'm trying to recall happy times, and all I can think about are our childhood years. Once my brother entered teenagehood, we drifted apart. I didn't know why back then, I know now. At 15 he was smocking weed, hanging out with the wrong crowd.

If I think negative thoughts,, I will live a life of misery ,,, and will be held in captive to the addiction,,,, and then the devil wins!!
Positive thinking allows me to stand up and proud ,,, regardless of what I'm going through,,,, so by "me" able to answer that question has helped me will the battle of the mind,,, and the refusal to give into the devil (addiction)
Peace
Makes me a little sad as it is also the saddest memory as it was the last time he was straight.
