Jimmy passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on Thursday February 11, 2016.
His brain damage was extensive, his lungs were shutting down and we moved him to hospice care earlier in the day. He died about 4 hours later, in my arms, surrounded by over 30 family and friends.
During his hospital stay I had Chaplain give him ashes and absolve him of his sins, we prayed every day. He is going to heaven, forgiven.
Jimmy's nightmare with addiction is now over. My grieving has just begun.
I miss my beautiful boy. 24 is too soon.

I am new here, and so am unfamiliar with your journey. When I saw this post, and I went back and read all your posts. I am so terribly sorry for your pain, the loss of your previous little boy. I was crying with sympathy when I finally got to this post again. Two people very close to me have both suffered from heroin addiction. I know all too well the years of suffering, rehabs, clean spells and relapses. You will forever be a tender spot on my heart. May you now have the peace you haven't had in too many years.
