Dear Mallen I am so so sorry to read this. I was praying for Jimmys recovery. As a mom I can only say know that your precious boy is in heaven he is absolved from his sins and safely in Gods care. I am sick of hearing of all the young beautiful souls we lose to this horrible disease I hate it ! Please know your son loved you very much and he is not fighting this demon anymore. I lost my beautiful sister this past October to the same thing and my son is in treatment right now as we speak. I am so, so sorry. I lost my son in January to an overdose. I still am struggling daily with the "why" and "what were you thinking?" We had a good relationship. He was never aggressive or mean. I just picked up his death certificates yesterday and am awaiting his autopsy report. I talk to him every day. Sometimes I'm ok and sometimes I am very angry with him. I wish you well on this horrible journey that we are both on. I cannot believe what an epidemic this has become.

Poor mother, I cannot imagine your pain. I am so sorry for your horrible loss. Our friend Cardinal also lost her daughter to addiction...but she said that her daughter was saved from addiction.free at last. Jimmy is now free to soar.

Thank you all for your kind words. Jimmy finally being free of his torment is what does give me a bit of comfort in this entire tragedy. I am going to continue to remind myself that he was absolved of his sins and received his ashes and will join my family in heaven, free from his past. My guardian angel will always be above me.

oh mallen i am so sorry for your loss. i know how hard you tried with your whole heart to help your son throughout the years. i know the pain of addiction. God freed your son from the chains of addiction. But the pain of the loss....my hugs and prayers dear friend....this is a horrible epidemic.....he is the same age as my son.
