I have had stomach problems all of my life. i was diagnosed with EDS about 4 years ago. I was wondering if any of my fellow EDS'ers have had any stomach/gastrointestinal problems. I get periods of severe pain (usually accompanied by diarrhea and nausea/vomiting). I had my gallbladder removed prior to being diagnosed with EDS, at the time, the docs thought that maybe this was the culprit of my problems. I still suffer from these problems, which range from being very mild, lasting a few days, to being quite severe, lasting for weeks and sometimes months. These problems often prevent me from going to college and i often end up in the hospital due to dehydration and for pain control. It seems that when i get these bouts of stomach problems (when my blood is tested) my liver enzymes are two to three times higher then they should be. I was wondering if maybe my EDS has a lot to do with these problems, I was also wondering if any of you have had similar experiences and if you have any advice for me? Any advice/knowledge would be much appreciated. Thanks and I hope you are having a pain-free day!

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
