March 7th, 2013, I completed my goal to not be anorexic. I overcame my eating disorder once again, but I have this internal feeling, desire, to fall back into old habits. I felt good about myself when I was anorexic, but at the same time, I know I felt horrible... I'm trying to keep myself from relapsing and going back there, but it's difficult when there's something inside of me that is telling me to starve myself, that I'll be happier if I do. Overcoming an eating disorder is so incredibly difficult, and since I overcame it I have been trying to eat healthier so that I can keep my weight down and still feel good about myself.. but I'm struggling, I can feel it and I know now is the best time to reach out. I used to run.. I used to play sports.. I used to have this amazing core that I was proud of...3 years ago... but a knee injury ended that all. Now I look at myself in the mirror with disgust, I step on a scale and I feel nauseous.. I'm not 'big' by any means, I'm actually quite average.. with a little extra on the belly, but In 3 years I've gained 30lbs... I'm trying to get it back off, but with my knee and other injuries acting up as well as getting sick..simply eating healthy doesn't seem like it's going to cut it.. When I was anorexic the last time I lost 15lbs.. I also gained about 20lb when I started eating again.. I've lost the extra 5 and am back to how I was.. but even though I can rationally say doing it all over again is a horrible idea, part of me still really wants to...

Acceptance is a very hard thing to do. You are not fully recovered from ED and this is something you need to accept about yourself. If you want to intervene a relapse, then get back into therapy and work your way through the part of you that believes you would be happier if you were starving. You need to build a healthy, strong, loving adult who knows that being healthy is the only way to live your life.

"March 7th, 2013, I completed my goal to not be anorexic." Not to be crass, but it doesn't exactly work that way. Recovery isn't a goal that you complete one day. It's a long process that involves a total reshaping of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I think you need to alter your attitude toward recovery and not think of it in such concrete terms: "anorexic" or "recovered." There's a lot of grey area in there. If you have a support system like a therapist, dietician, recovery team etc. you should reach out to them. Good luck.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
