My daughter and I both have eating disorders. I am going back to 12 steps. She would like inpatient treatment for compulsive eating/binge eating.
We live in NE Alabama and would like any advice about treatment centers (as well as advice on inpatient vs outpatient treatment).

Inpatient really gets down to the heart of the disorder... or at least tries to. Outpatient will try it's hardest, but inpatient is definitely worth it if you find the right one. I'm not from that area, but I am sure you could google it.

Inpatient teaches young girls lots of tricks that can make them worse. I was an adult and went inpatient and learned all sorts of stuff I didnt know that i wish I didnot know now. Out patient with a good therapist may be the way to go.

I feel that both are great. I was in a resi that was mixed adolescents and adults. I personally have done both and benefited at both, b/c it was what I wanted and I was ready to do the hard work.

I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...
