However, thought i would comment as its nice to know someone else is in the same boat. i dont eat around others either when i binge, and i think about food CONSTANTLY. its worrying actually how reliant i am on how good it makes me feel.
wonder if you get this?
ive been good all week and tonight, the little devil in my head is telling me one packet of crisps will be fine, then its two, three, four, five!
i never realised it might be a disorder til i googled it but i honestly believe i have a very unhealthy relationship with food.
i do admite that I still have binge eating problems and maybe I am not the best person to offer you an advice, but I found that my desire to just stuff myself up, regardless how full I am, subsides when I leave the kitchen. It helps to keep your room free of all food, and designating eating area only to the kitchen.
Also, whenever you want to eat something more, brush your teeth. It will at least temporarily keep your appetite at bay. And do something that you enjoy doing, such as reading magazines or pampering yourself with manis and pedis etc.
with regards to what you should eat, try to stay away from junk foods whenever you want to binge, and if you must eat something, go for healtheir options like fruits and vegetables so you won't feel as guilty. it is important to minimize stress because I realized that I tend to binge eat whenever I feel stressed.
