I don't purge, I was anorexic for a few years...but after another diagnosis (something unrelated) I started to binge eat...and it's been about 2 years almost since that started.
I'm overweight, considered obese (according to those BMI things), but hopefully I can get on top of things before they get worse.
Thanks for any support I receive here. :)
I don't really know what to do.
I've talked to my mom and she tells me that if I start bingeing to just stop, but I tried to explain that I'm not in control when I'm eating. If I could just stop then I would because I hate being like this.
You're not alone :)
i feel like im stuck in a cycle- i was diagnosed with anorexia, then i started bingeing and i gained weight, now i'm more bulimic. i eat a lot and then either purge or exercise compulsively. it's a vicious cycle. i used to see an awesome therapist but my insurance didn't cover it so i have to find someone else.
i know it's a tough ongoing battle, but we all just need to be strong and fight through it! i'm here for you if you need anything. :)
you're beautiful!
I can go weeks without eating if I wanted to, but I've depleted so much muscle when I was anorexic I want to be stronger...so I'll eat something healthy, and once I start eating, that's it.
Sometimes I get chest pains (most likely panic attacks), but I'm always afraid that I've damaged my heart by eating so unhealthy and being so inactive.
I have anorexic tendacies, where as i restrict most the day and at night eat most my calores, it's not really binging as i still weigh and count everything but then again it's not normal to eat so much withihn a few hours. So i guess we all have our own " situations". I guess when you stave your body for so long you can easily become out of control ... it's why i'm now avoiding alcohol. Makes me just eat and eat.
