that's why people may not admit it? it seems so embarassing to say i went to three fast food joints and got a meal or two at each and then a box of donuts then some cookies and ate the whole thing in the car...and didn't purge...didn't take control! it's screwed up...i fight with this in my own head everyday.
i have bulimia and binge eating disorder.
I knew it was a serious problem...not just by the 75lb weight gain...but b/c I wake up in the middle of the night. I could just go back to sleep, but I know there are some sort of goodies out in the kitchen. I get up and eat a whole bunch of them.
I'm trying to make a conscious effort to change it...but as we all know, it's easier said than done.
I had had maybe short spans of time where I haven't eating the amount of food I would on a regular basis but I wouldn't go as far to say I have ever had a case of anorexia. My issue has always been Overeating, Compulsive Overeating.
I wish they had that as one of their diagnostics, because it wasn't listed when I was suppose to choose for my prof.
There in also a support group called Food Addiction if you want to join that
