would love to hear about your patterns.
i have been struggling with weight for many many years. still just over weight and not obese but feel very out of control at times. but other times i feel i could teach a class on nutrition. how crazy is that.
ill check back soon to see if any one is gonna connect with me
I have peaks and troughs of Eating EVERYTHING in sight and cant stop myself. continues for weeks sometimes, and other times where I dont feel like eating for like a fortnight, I do but just a little unfortunatly it doesnt last as long.
As soon as you find a trick to stop, please let me know! Otherwise, you can email if u want.
I eat every 2 hrs, whatever I want and portion control. I have to have a structured eating sch or my eating just takes over.
So far this seems to be working, but each day is a new beginning.....
I guess what i would like to here is your thoughts on is some times with no effort from myself, the "binging " just seems to stop, or at least a little crack in the trend shows up. and if i notice it and really try to use it to slow down or stop the bad trend, i can recovery for a little while.
can any one relate to this?? is it hormonal?
I feel your pain as I too am a binge-eater whom would never appear to be one on the surface. The difficult thing is...there isn't a miracle solution and I think that most of us know that. It's about changing one's lifestyle, and as we all know, it's hard to do that. There are ways to stop individual binges that surface (i.e. drink tea, take a hot shower, clean something to keep busy, brush your teeth, phone a friend, etc.) but the real change will come when we stop focusing on food and start focusing on more important things. I am not being condescending when writing this post. I too are struggling right now as a newlywed in graduate school. However, I am choosing to use my winter break to stop focusing on myself so much and start focusing on others. We are all faced with difficulties but are also lucky in the grand scheme of things. Maybe volunteering for a non-profit organization would be helpful? Maybe getting more sleep? Staying busy? There are a million ways to stop the binge eating and eventually, it WILL stop as our negative patterns of thinking stop. It's difficult because we all want that to occur immediately, and unfortunately, it's a process that takes time. Hang in there everyone. We'll get this.
