Also just ask for help and have a dictionary with you.

but it was hard having to run to that all the time.i just cant seem to remember the words i get wrong.
i read fine
a dictionary i would be in every second

i more or less have given up
I have an Oxford electronic dictionary. I'm missing it at the moment as the batteries have gone and I am not very organise to get them changed!
It is often all the same words that I need to check.
I have found though that I am not incapable of learning them, it just takes me a long time.
SOmetimes it just clicks in with no effort so I have learned not to force the learning of these words. I just wait until my brain has an 'ah ha' moment!
I have recently learned that words like already and always have only one l.
I learned something about pp in appology and similar words but I think I've forgoten again. It will come back to me.
I am teaching a phonics programme to 5 year olds and this is really helping me learn about how words are constructed. The more I nteach it the better it goes in.
Teaching handwriting improved my own too.
I just keep on keeping on and wait for my brain to catch up.
I think accepting that my brain trips up but that I am also an inteligent person helps me a lot. I can get embarassed sometimes but I try to be positive about myself and it helps me to relax and then I can celebrate every success.
The computer helps. I like to go back over my writing and make corrections manually and this also helps me learn.
Think can do!
Get creative and make up some cards for certain situations, use really nice paper and ad pictures and decorations.
You could have one for the post office discretely in your pocket with words on you are likely to need and the more you use it the less you may need it.
I know I will always have trouble with this but I enjoy every little success rather than beating myself up over every mistake.
It is easy for me to sound positive and I know when something is a problem for me, the last thing I want is someone thinking they have all the answers so just take what you want from my post and ignore the bit's you don't!!!
Hugs xx
so thats it
i ran away from it again
i dont have to deal with text
.i only have to write out a set list from time to time and thats when it gets noticed
that i struggle so much even with coppying a list
away from text again
but i partly feel bad about just keeping away
form things to protect myself AGAIN
I know how you feel when you say you feel like a 7 year old. I myself have a grade 7 math and reading skills. Its hard to cope with. But have you tryed reading? I have found at lest for me if I see the word or read it it becomes easer for me to know when its spelled right or wrong.
But try and face what you dread to do. You will find if you face it then it becomes easer.
Good luck to you
