You r right not every thing is'practice makes perfect' HUH!
I know which hand to put it on because the adjstment button faces out from my wrist.
I have another problem with left/right and I am the only person I know of who has this problem. If I wake up in the middle of the night drowsy I sometimes mirror read my watch, ie I see 5 AM as 7 AM or 4 AM as 8 AM.
