Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

I do not miss being ignored.
Kamary, I agree, broken promises is at the top of the list for me
I absolutely hated eating late because he had to drink his quota of beer before he could eat supper. If he ate first then he couldn't drink as much beer.
I haven't even gotten to the fact that he never wanted to go anywhere.
I could write a book on the things I don't miss in the 33 years we were married. In hindsight I see a lot of things I wouldn't miss that I couldn't see while I was in our marriage.
Being LAST on his priority list-had to schedule sex around what soccer game was on Tv!!!!!!
Being woken up every morning-even during the summer when I didn't have to work.
I'll add more later. This is a sad but humorous thread-how could I have loved him for so long? Guess I didn't feel like I deserved better. Working on that!
