Divorce Care is great. I found one after someone's suggestion on this site. You will meet supportive and recently single people in your area. Sometimes, there are outings for all the Divorce Care groups in the area or your group will plan a bowling night, etc.

I actually had a good drs visit the last time I went. Everything was down, cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, although I still have to take cholesterol medicine cause its not quite down enough.

So I was feeling good about myself and was thinking about the divorce settlement while I was cutting on my tablesaw. Big mistake. I cut my right thumb off. drs reattached it and put a plate in it but not sure how much use I will get out of it. Just a mental lapse for a fraction of a second was all it took!

Seems like if it's not one thing it's another but ty for all ur support.

OMG...that's horrible...I'm so sorry bob. I have a friend that did that with 2 fingers and he was an experienced carpenter. It can happen to anyone...Big Hugs...Kathy

I am getting divorced too. I know it is the right thing to do, but sometimes I feel sick to my stomach. Today is one of those days. I made an appointment with a lawyer and I feel a little stressed. I find that I must force myself to take each new step. One of those steps was joining this group, I hope I can help and be helped here...I am not usually one to share my problems/emotions with others, but I am finding that it can be quite helpful. I just don't want to burn out my family and friends with my problems. Anyway....here I am.

Welcome Bob and ReNewed. Please take care of yourself. Sometimes those health problems are just a symptom of a sick marriage. They were for me! No med for BP now and it's been 2 1/2 years since my divorce. You may find that your mental and physical health get better as you go through this! We are here for you!

yes i do agree Bob, divorce sucks ... this site has been so very good for me... it reminds me i am not alone in all of this , so many here ready to help you make it through those shitty days, I have been apart from my ex for going on 4 years and divorced for one of those, I still have bad days but i gotta tell you that things are getting better now all the time. there is a whole life waiting for you ... stay as positive as you can but do let yourself grieve it is a natural thing .. good luck

I may never play guitar again! It's all my wifes fault for making me cut off my thumb. No, I know it's not, I'm just redirecting some anger.

My marriage has been bad for a long time and I will be glad when it is over. I hope I meet someone someday who can work with me instead of against me.
