I am having a hard time with my Adult daughter and son. They are 36 and 37 respectively. My husband is alcoholic and left me for a younger woman after almost 40 years of marriage. I am crying a lot about him. Now I'm crying because daughter and her husband just told me to stop bringing grandpa to sporting events. He is drunk and that embarrasses the grand children.

I have been the one trying to get him to come to sporting events because he walked away from all of us, not just me. We have 3 Adult children and 8 grand children ranging in age from 18 to 10 years old. My oldest grand son, 17 claims he was embarrassed by grandpa at Monday's game.

Now I feel responsible for them being angry. Him being mad. And me being hurt, caught in the middle. I cannot control him drinking. I can only support. I want him involved in grand children's lives, but I understand daughter too. Now what do I do??? I'm crying at work uncontrollably.
