Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
A little progress...........
I bought two more lights for my photo area.
I made a light box to take pictures of the purses years ago and when my x left, things got lost . So, I bought the new lights yesterday..... Who knows.....? I may even set everything up and take some purse pictures to list.... Wouldn't that be something!!! LOL.. Who knows......? I may even list one today!!!!!! Maybe I’m asking to much ... LOL.,.
At least I progressed somewhat...
I really feel that if I can get over the hump of just getting started again.... I'll be off and running.
Christmas time is the best time for selling!!!!
Have a good day......
BTW-- I'm doing ok.... trying to make a new life with my new wife... Trying to let go of those old feelings... memories.... I think that I'm doing better... And my new wife is just the greatest person... We laugh all the time....
Thank you all for your support and advice now and over the years .. You're the best !!!!!

PS. God Bless !
You made me remember something else which no doubt has contributed to the growing obesity problem in the U.S.
I don't know if they are still around, but about 10 years ago, there was a store chain called T.C.B.Y. (This Country's Best Yogurt) and it was like a soda fountain, only they used FROZEN YOGURT instead of ice cream. Well, frozen yogurt IS less fattening than ice cream and they even had NO-FAT frozen yogurt, which by itself, would satisfy the ice cream urge with little or no guilt.
BUT the entire ice cream case was filled with ALL MANNER OF HIGH FAT TOPPINGS to basically cancel out the "no guilt" of eating frozen yogurt -- peanuts, M&Ms, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream -- you name it, they had it.
I'm still shaking my head over that one.
but the first thing I did after I woke up was to throw the rest of the Cheez-its out--Get thee behind me, Cheez-its, and not on my backside!!
I then recycled the cardboard box into 3x5 card dividers...
Well here it is Oct 1st 2011. Time is really flying bye. This is already the forth winter coming that my X left. The forth Thanksgiving and Christmas. The holidays still hurt. Even as I talk now …………
I’m trying to make new memories with my new wife…, but the old ones still stick around …
Anyway… I don’t know why I went there this morning… Holidays are triggers for me …. Big time!!!!!
(On the good side)— Ebay ---I’m moving along …… Fixed the light box up and took pictures of about 7 of my purses. Also bought a photo program to work with the quality. Boy Am I rusty with this stuff. Plus the new photo program is different than my old one. I use to fly through this stuff and listings. Going to take some time to get used to doing it again. My x wife and I use to do all this together and now I also have to do her part. BUT !!!!! , I’M DOING IT ! I hope to get one or two purses listed next week.
Sooooooooooooo, My “EBay” report is positive !!!!!!!
I went dancing with my wife last night. Wow, I put on this pair of pants that I had for a while and.. they were very tight. ……. I mean three weeks ago they fit fine …. OMG!!!! I must stop eating all that (Good tasting) food ! Ha-Ha.. Really I must take some steps to lose weight; I really feel that I could lose about 20 pounds.
Katie and everyone… I will let everyone know when I list something.
My eBay’s name is: Avenue200
You can Google that and it should lead you to eBay…. I think!!!
Everyone ………………… have the best week end possible…. Just do your best…. That’s what I’m doing …
OH…… one more thing …. My wife found a job working three days a week. She’s a Nanny. She’s very happy because this is a 16 month old girl and only one child The younger the child the longer the job . … She’s so happy. Plus it will give me some of my own time

I've been rehabing Zee and walking laps around his field. Sometimes dragging him but mostly he is beside me. The funniest thing this morning. I'm walking beside Zee at a nice ground covering pace and look back. Joe is behind us every step of the way. We all made 2 and 1/2 laps around the field. Tonight I'm sure Joe will be bored with this and it will just be me and Zee. Tonight it will be a 1/2 mile on the treadmill. I was just too tired last night. So I will make up for it today.
drtexdi : I'm laughing with you on the not eating after Zumba class...it's Salsa for me. Nothing like moving those hips [or feet] !
I had to google Deep Fat Fried Snickers bars and they say it liquefies into creamy center. I'm afraid the weight trainer Julian Micheals [The Doctor show, The Biggest Loser] will suggest screaming to steer far from this snack .
I'm going to jump on this band wagon also since I need incentive to start swimming laps so I can participate in the local Senior Games (yes, it has come to that) in February. I just have a hard time getting motivated to head to the pool in the winter at 6AM when it is 20 below or so and right now I haven't located another fool to join me. Maybe if I have to check in weekly here, I'll get it done. If I do it at least 3 times a week, I should be good. I have no problem with doing weights, yoga, cross country skiing, or any other aerobics....just the swimming.
I decided my 30-day challenge is to write nightly in my journal and so far so good. I'm also including the things I'm grateful for everyday. Last night it was short since it was late, I was tired and I have a cold. I was just grateful for the sleeping Chessie by the bed. So I guess it has come to this....
