Weekly Weigh-In (Mar 15) Falling Down

Falling Down and Getting Back Up Again
This literally happened with me this week and it knocked me for a loop. Has that happened to you in some sort of way? It's not always as cut and dried as just jumping right back on the bandwagon. My goal is to post earlier on Sundays after an early morning weigh-in. Since Sunday is generally my day for church and relaxation, I'm again remembering the Self-Compassion in the "(5) S's". Rather than feeling sorry for myself, I'm just not beating myself up.
Somewhere along the line, it was suggested that rather than feel the angst over anything not completed on a "to do" list, it's far more productive to carry over to the next one anything that did not get accomplished. The carry-over today is the printing out of a new weigh-in sheet and updated exercise routine.
What I've learned this week is to pay attention to my body signals when they tell me it's time to take a break. My worst memory of that was being on the treadmill without attaching the safety clip to my exercise pants. If you ever saw the clip of the "The Jetsons" where George got pulled into the treadmill, yelling "stop this crazy thing!", that's the way it felt. Unlike the cartoon though, it was a painful lesson learned. I'm reminded of one of my jobs. Our GM coined the phrase, "do it right the first time", sort of like in carpentry where they say "measure twice, cut once." Exercise and neuroplasticity work that way too. Being mindful of "form" helps us build a more productive muscle memory as we go.

Remember the (5) S’s for Weighing:
♦ Same TIME of day
♦ Same DAY each week
♦ Same CLOTHING
♦ Same SCALE — and remember, sometimes the scale doesn’t budge, but the waistline does
♦ Same SELF-COMPASSION

How is your mindset this week? I hope you're able to work toward your goals successfully.

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...
