Weekly Weigh-In (Apr 5) Carnivore Diet

Unexpected Carnivore Diet Results
My sweetie has been dealing with significant pain over the years. After looking over some information I shared about how the carnivore diet can be used as an elimination diet --- and how some people report reduced arthritic and joint pain --- he decided to give it a try.
Today marks his 90th day.
Although he didn't need to lose weight at 6'2" and 178 pounds, he's now down to 162. He'd actually like to gain back about ten pounds. He told me he's fitting into a jean size he hasn't worn since high school.
As for the pain, he's not quite sure yet if there's been an improvement, but we're hoping to learn more as he slowly adds foods back in.
Have you considered an elimination diet?
I've continued with my intermittent fasting and low carb approach for quite a while now. Having fractured a couple of ribs this month, I didn't push myself to get back on the scale during the week --- but I did check today, and I'm down one pound at 137.
Getting back to exercise is a bit scary. I rely heavily on my arms and hands, especially after my spine surgery. I'm trying to be careful and listen to my body.
I'd love to hear what others contend with on their journey toward better health.

This evening, I'll be researching the best way for my sweetie to add fruits and vegetables back into his diet.
Happy Easter if you celebrate. If you're observing Passover, Chag Sameach.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...
