Hi, I am new here and just wanted to see if anyone else has taken Phentermine?? How there results were as well as there side effect??

Do a search for prescription drugs then type in the med. It will have all the side efeects.

Some friends of mine have taken it and it worked great for them. It is not a prescription drug. It is classed as an amphetimine. Side effects are dry mouth, and not being able to sleep until your body adjusts. It should not be taken by anyone with heart problems and cut out the cafeine if you take it-could cause the shakes. I do not advocate its use or judge anyone who does.

PLEASE READ!!!!! I went to my doctor to talk about Phentermine and she said she wont prescribe it because it can cause major heart problems. I have heard it works, but I wont take the risk. She told me there are many other prescription pills that are safer on your heart and body. I have an appoitment in a few weeks to find out whats best for me.... Hope That Helped

I took it many years ago and it worked great, lost 25 lbs in no time. Only problem was a very rapid heart beat which scared me. I would not take it again.

I lost about 20 punds in the past with phentermine but there were side effects like a racing heart and insomnia. I also have depression and the "high" of the drug felt a lot like a manic episode which is fine if it lasts forever but it doesn't. It turned into feelings of panic and then when I stopped taking it, I crashed into depression again. The problem is the weight always came back after I stopped taking it and usually a few pounds more. It just isn't worth it. I am now trying to do what makes the best sense and things I can live with for the rest of my life; portion control, limit sugar and exercise. Good luck!

    Is anyone here allergic to Sulfa that is currently taking Diamox? I have been diagnosed with IH now for almost 2 years. I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...
