Hi All - Does anyone have advice for avoiding or turning down unhealthy foods offered at public events, family gatherings, office breakrooms, etc.? For example, every Friday, my office has a free breakfast available to the staff and it's usually unhealthy (e.g. doughnuts, bagels, bear claws, etc.). Every week, I tell myself I'm going to avoid it, but I always eat from it. Is there any advice on how to not give into temptation in these scenarios? Thanks!

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I'm on a low carb diet so this works well for me. I don't eat things with more than single digits of carbs. Period. It's not up for discussion or decision it just is. So someone offers me a muffin. 'No thanks I'm not eating carbs' repeat as necessary.
P.S. I do cheat on weekends but am finding that I don't even really WANT to cheat all that much, which is awesome. :)
