First, it depends on the person. I, personally, like to work out every other day or two days in a row, then take a day off. It really depends on how i'm feeling, how work went, what my week looks like, etc. Plus...i'm in a maintaining mode. I'm not trying to lose weight, really, or do anything special accept, keep what I already have.
That said...if you're looking to lose, then, no less than 5 days a week in the gym or doing high intensity videos, etc. The key is to raise your heart rate and keep it up. Different folks have different things that work for them...including how often they need to work out for what they're trying to achieve. Exercise as much as you want, but be careful not to burn yourself out.
Lots of different schools of thought. Variety and consistancy are the keys.
Good Luck!!
It does not matter if it's just a walk around the block, do something every day.
Just like wrkn said, if you want to lose weight/size, you want to be doing cardio, getting your heart rate raised and get a good sweat going. You can do this sort of exercising every day if you like.
If you are doing work with weights, it gets less simple. When you work with weights, you should not work the same muscles every day. If you wanted, do your weight training every 2nd day, to give your muscles time to heal, to repair after exercising.
Whatever you do, do things you enjoy or you will get tired of it all and just quit. Start off slow and ease into your routine. Be sure to check with your dr to be sure you don't have any medical issues you need to consider when exercising. Then have fun and get fit.
Then I ended up cooking dinner and eating
Then I did the ab jam from my turbo jam vids
and the pain lasted about a half hour end then
I ended up with mondo energy and instead
of wasting it I ended up doing all the cleaning
I had scheduled tomorrow today. I am still
on a high from working out!
I will try to do something every day even if it's just sit ups or
crunches.
