Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...
This is the first i have heard of the BG but it would stand to reason. Have you gotten that from you doc yet?

I use portion control more then anything. I am more focused on the weight loss then anything else. My main carb meal is dinner and I now take my metformin an hour before dinner. I am sure that helps with the numbers as does the exercise.
If people who have bypass surgery can go into "remission" then I am hoping for the same results. The quicker I lose weight, the better chance that I have of it happening. It may not last forever, but I will take anything I can get.
Tek probably because your BS run so high all the time 70 must seem very low to your body maybe? I dodn't feel anything till i am like in my 60's which isn't often.
Hey Hope I think the remission is due to bypassing a large portion of the digestive tract. There is some sort of hormone thatis omitted if I remember correctly. But there is no harm in trying.
As far as low numbers are concerned, Tek, 80 for me is excellent. Its usually bet 90-100 before dinner. I have never felt symptoms of a high or low.
