Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...

Fruits have sugar too, so watch out for them. They are good for you, but be wary of their sugar content.
One of the things I know is to eat smaller meals throughout the day. If a person eats a large meal, it uses more insulin to digest that large meal.
Good luck. I am sure you are doing the best you can. I think sometimes our bodies just change as we grow older. My Dad got diagnosed at 75 years old. I remember when he/I were younger, he was eating tons of sugary snacks every single day. The body sometimes just changes as we age. Sigh!
I’m very active where I do yoga and go to the gym 4 times a week and I hike with my husband sometimes.
I’m just saying all this because the drs tell me for how I been doing it has kept my diabetes under control where it’s like I don’t have it but I do have to take insulin but not as much.
