Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...

I had an A1C in early July after surgery that was 9.7 and my doctor wrote it off to the surgery....then a month later it was down to 9.5 I think....I did another last month and it was still up there in the 9.? range...not sure what it was exactly...
doctor took me off Glipeside and put me on Levimar pen insulin....I started at 15units....it is now up to 50units at bedtime....my sugar this morning was 192....I had lunch with my mom of a small sized bagel with turkey slices on it and a bowl of Lentil soup....then on way home stopped for free bagel at the Panara bread company...I was having trouble seeing this morning for first time....I called doctor this morning as I report my fasting sugars....she did not think it was related to BS....then they called again and I said my vision had improved and I thought it has...got home and could not really read computer screen.....I called doctor again...they wanted me to get eye exam...I just had eye exam in July....anyway I called eye doctor and he said that it could be BS but might not be...anyway I got appointment Tues with eye doctor...the PCP wanted me to take BS now...I did it is 414....ouch!
I need to get my BS under control....I know bagels are pure carbs and I guess I just did not think it was that bad....anyway...I am supposed to call PCP tomorrow and tell them the fasting tomorrow morning and the sugar from tonight....
I do not enjoy having blurry vision....

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

1. eat when you are hungry
2. don’t drink liquid 30 mins before and after and during the meal
3. chew the food 25 times or more.
4. stop eating the food after 1st Burp
Assessment: Measure your glucose one day and then follow the above 4 steps till next day and measure your glucose. You would see significant reduction in your glucose without any change in food. If you follow them for a month or two, it will keep improve your diabetic levels and most probably could able to cure type II diabetics gradually.
