Hello everyone, I'm new to the group. I've been type 2 since 2005 and i been experiencing the pain in my feet and things and my doctors know about it but lately I've been feeling like a stiffness in the muscles of my feet especially the bottom or sole's of my foot almost like the muscles are tight and i was wondering if any of you have experienced this and if so what did you do about it. Thanks.

nope but it does not sound like neuropathy to me...I dunno maybe arthritis?

sounds like neuropathy, you need to let the doctors know so they can monitor it before it gets out of control

I was having horrible pain on the bottom of my foot and finally went in to see the podiatrist for it. Pain in the sole and heel, hurt to stand up or to walk. Was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I have gotten good arch supports for my shoes and for the most part feel better.

Not saying it is plantar fasciitis but it is worth getting looked at.

I have diabetic neuropathy with hammer toes developing. In the past I have improved my condition by diet and exercise. I had a medical diagnosis early on and I see a podiatrist every year or so as the condition changes to the worse. I have had successful improvement with gym sessions with a trainer who specializes in stretching activities, especially of the feet. My feet got worse when I had a long convalescence over bladder and prostrate surgery which got in the way of regular gym sessions. And I was turning into a vegetable until I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I am regaining my motivation and back with diet and exercise again.
