Well here goes. I have a tumor in my chest that has to be surgically removed. I told my boss that I go to meet the surgeon so we can schedule the surgery. Her fucking reply " well just remember when you plan that surgery that the state is coming in and your dictiation has to be complete in January."
Okay, they are removing the damned thing to see if it is cancerous. but that was the only thing she had to say. REAL FUCKING NICE.
then yesterday at 5pm, (time to go home) I go into a bathroom and see the toilet not flushed, I'm just there to wash hands, but go over to flush the toilet and the damned thing starts filling up and pours water over the sides. I go out and ask another supervisor what to do, and I'm told to leave a note on the door for the clean up crew. That's what I do. It says
"TOILET OVERFLOWING, PLEASE FIX" I come in this afternoon and there's a nasty sign under that one saying "REALLY!!!????!!!" Then this other fucking supervisor sends out an email saying the next time he has to plunge the toilet he's taking DNA samples. What a fucking joke. and what a fucking asshole.

I don't know what to tell you about your surgery, but I do know there is such a thing as FLMA which is a federal mandate or law giving you 12 weeks of sick leave and they can't do nothing to you. Without it, you could get fired and lose your insurance, so that wouldn't help. But, protection under FLMA will stop all of that. They can't even fuss at you for taking off. Go to your personnel office and check into it. I would go over your supervisors head, she doesn't sound like she would be too helpful, but could be open for a law suit.

One of the sinks at my gym was plugged up. The maintenance guy was out for 10 days so guess what? It stood there for 10 days until it was all black and nasty.
The manager did not see anything wrong with waiting for the guy to come back from vacation.

I've had my share of those, but I've always come with an escape plan. I know that jobs are not that easy to come by, but if you don't start searching, another job isn't going to fall on you. Life is too short to waste it with idiots like them.
