I was just wondering who tends to have a bit of social anxiety? Outside of texting a few friends, posting on D.S, working because I have to to keep food in the house and pay bills, and a couple friends I do talk to daily but don't really go anywhere with, I stay home.
I am not medically disabled. I do get migraines and I do have anxiety, but I am healthy enough to work usually 40 hrs or more a week, and usually work even if sick.
It has just gotten to where I find it hard to be in social situations. I shop when or where there are few people and as little as I can get by with. I don't do anything with family unless it is a have to situation and I really don't get enjoyment out of life anymore. I find, if I am not working, I am either watching T.V. or sleeping. I have no significant other and turn down men that ask me out, I have no children, a cat which I have allergies to and a horse that I am thinking about placing as I don't even ride him and have not for a year.

Everyday I feel more and more sick. Being in pain every day, I've learned to disguise it. So well that others don't believe my pain when I speak of it. Needing help but only receiving negative responses, I find my way but pay for it later. I absolutely need the rest but there's pressing things to be done.

Ugh my depression is really being triggered by the grief of losing my mom. Ugh it sucks. I wish this pain would leave me already.

How true. And how often the very people we hope will stand by us, can let us down---namely, family. I have the double whammy combination, too, mostly toxic family.
But eventually you come to a realization trhat NOT EVEN family defines us. We are the sum of so many life experiences, edcisions, health issues, education & personality, etc. Try very hard not to let them define you or limit your healing with their strange advice.
Bad experiences can be amplified by depression. Not everybody ids bad, and not everybody is out to get us.
I've been taking a chance, and interacting more with strangers lately. And it's been pretty good.
Wishing you healing......OOX
....The love offered is literally a devouring of your flesh, stealing all your money, goods, and hope...You then are poisoned from deadly food, water and meds and they say something is wrong with me for not being happy!!!...
...Wrong with me huh????...SOB's...!!!!
....Ain't my fault they are evil and I am not and cannot take what they are poisoned by as they like it....Yup.....Hiding away as best as possible suits me fine you dunk-rockets!!!!!..Dunk-rockets= not you nice ones but those evil doers who tap and know it too....
...Now if you could get into a Hobbit hole really away...That would really be super!!!!!
I prefer to be left alone when not at work.
I don't go to church any more.
Although I don't criticize people who believe.I feel a belief in God can heal and recommend it to others.I can't go anymore.I feel God abandoned us.My wife.My mom and dad.So I don't go.I prefer to be alone and play games or watch the food channel or Id Discovery until bedtime.
One of my former docs said I had antisocial personality disorder.I don't believe that's true.I have a great deal of compassion in my heart for others. For the young people I work with. For crime victims I have seen on ID.
But I just prefer to be alone with my grief and my pain over the loss of my wife and my parents.
I just prefer to not be around people unless I am at work.
It is who I am now.
