I don't know why I think about this from time to time...but there was a guy I really liked in a club I was in. And I felt like...I have been out of high school, a long time away from all the mean people and people who rejected me...things are different. And a long time away from other breakups So I liked this guy, thinking, different situation, different person.
And then...he sort of figured out, not sure exactly how, that I might have liked him, and seemed to just quit speaking to me after that. I was absolutely devastated. I know I should not have been, but I was in such shock. I guess I thought he was different, just a lot nicer. I felt like I was reeling.
Eventually, he got a girlfriend. I never did find anyone else, so it made me feel even worse. Then, after all of this time of seemingly ignoring me, he tried to hang out and introduce her and all of that. I just couldn't handle it. I got up and left the table when he sat by me as I just didn't know what to say. I know he was pretty upset and angry by the look on his face, but I was out of options as to how to respond. I honestly as an adult have not been in a situation I could not handle like that. I know he was really angry by the way he took off and the stricken look on his face. I wish I could have been different. But, I just couldn't.

So I have been having a lot of health issues and my cardiologist felt that he didn't get clear enough images of my heart in the office, so he wanted to do a Trans-esophegeal heart Echocardiocgram in the hospital. I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...

I tried playing out the "tell him you had a crush on him and could not deal with him and his girl friend all of a sudden" in my mind. It never ended well in my mind. So if you feel the need to explain to him, perhaps just tell him that you were out of sorts and let him connect the dots
In the scheme of things, how much of an impact did the way you reacted affect this guy? I think it was probably less than the lasting affect it has had on you. Like Pepper said, if explaining it to him helps you to move on perhaps you need to do that. But if the chance to do that has passed try instead to make peace with the way you reacted in your own heart.
