Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
welcome to our community. glad that you are here!
It would be a tragedy to give up if this med was going to work.
You are not alone, there is this community here for you, like kriskris said. Your cats need you.
And there are cages and cages of pets in shelters who need a volunteer to love them. Maybe one of your life purposes is to be a helper to animals. I think that's one of my purposes. Be good to yourself today, OK? Snail
your co-workers care
your drs and therapist care
we care
i care
the general public actually does care
i would suggest getting out and doing things with people. join a darts league or bowling or whatever else you might enjoy... something that puts you in contact with new people that you never would have met otherwise... they'll care as soon as they meet you, and they'll care even more when you become friends with some of them... and you'll feel less alone... and less depressed
i hope this helps... please keep posting here, you'll find a lot of support
*hugs*
Hang in there. Add me as a friend.
Please keep posting your thoughts and feelings here. These postings are so comforting because I learn that I'm not the only one who has these scary feelings and there are others who understand where I"m coming from....I'm not alone.
Sorry I'm rambling but I hope you know that you're not alone.
Take care,
Feeshee
Just my opinion
Thank you for sharing. In the past I have left jobs (many jobs) because of social anxiety problems, but not lately. The reason I'd like to leave my current job is that I'm bored after doing pretty much the same repetitive tasks for 11 years; it's a small company where advancement to a different position is not an option. Fortunately I'm feeling better now than when I wrote the post to which you responded. I would love to find a support group with face to face meetings but they are few and far between in my area since I don't qualify for OA, AA or NA. ACOA and CODA are possiblities that I am looking into--I do qualify for those.
