Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I'm tired of crying out for help to no avail. I don't even know why I bother posting on this site. It's not like it will ever make a difference. Depression is who I am. I am, the emptiness that consumes my entire body and leaves me numb. I am, the constant flow of thoughts to end it all that suffocates and invades my brain, leaving me beaten down and discouraged, unwilling to go on. I am the nothingness that is life. And the nothingness is me. Yet, what words can I orchestrate to paint the illusion of my pain and hopelessness to another being? How do I make someone understand the depth of my anguish? .. The answer... I cannot. There are no words. So I suffer silently. Screaming internally for a way out, yearning for the kiss of deaths sweet embrace. I cannot make people realize that with every passing day I sense less and less of humanity within myself, that I am losing my grasp on reality. No one see a my slow decline into insanity, so I suffer alone.... on the outside I uphold a facade of happiness, and peace. Because no one cares, and even if some one wanted to care, they couldn't possibly. Every person's suffering is different and no one, will ever be able to understand mine.. Death...
"Death is the only thing that is certain in an uncertain world" and I now know with absolute certainty what has to come next. I will embark upon this uncertain journey... this, I am certain of.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon
