Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I recently lost my job from a bad decision that i made. I did it for my husband because I loved him. I've been replaying this over and over in my head, it's like a bad dream. I no longer have a career is all i can see right now. It's like i've lost myself because for the last 5yrs i have basically lived at my job. I have kids that i can no longer support and bills that are going to eventually start to pile up. I can't find a job because this thing i did for my husband caused me to catch a 1st degree charge that i won't know the outcome of until the end of the month. It's a felony, i've never been in any real trouble in all of my 37yrs of life. The craziest thing to me is i haven't told my mother, my brothers or my kids the real reason i got fired. It's been so hard not having someone to really talk to or comfort me. I have friends but they can't comfort me the way i need. I feel like i'm in the middle of a tornado watching my whole world crumble around me and there is nothing i can do. I've tried talking to my husband but he doesn't wanna talk to me about that. I can but i can't blame him for what happen cause at the end of the day i'm a grown woman that could have said no. I've been panicking a lot lately cause he was supposed to keep the bills going but he quits his job. we have no savings of any kind i have no one i can turn to. I've comtemplated sucide a lot lately too, but i have my kids. i don't want them to have to grow up without me, but i think sometimes they would be better off. I think everyone would. I've been dealing with depression for a long time by myself i just kept it at bay but losing my job was like a breaking point for me where do i go from here. I'm tired like really tired of feeling like this.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

As for your husband, he needs to get off his ass and get a job and pay the bills. That much I can say.
A felony charge that is big. I can't even imagine. You must be beside yourself with fear and worry. Telling your family......... if there is actually a court date and hearing and possible jail time you will have to tell them. I am sure it will be awful and hard. But better they find out from you then from someone else.
If you need to talk pm me. Thinking of you. Sending prayers and good thoughts.
You cannot change what has happened. You can only change where to go from here....with or without your husband. In fact you shouldn't be thinking about what HE says right now because it sounds like he's not giving you the support you need and deserve.
You can tell family if they've always been there for you but what's important is that you look within yourself to give yourself what you need. You come first.
It doesn't matter how people "look at you". What matters most is that you tell yourself you're going to face this head on and take it. You can do this. Get through this and regain that pride.
You're tougher than you think you are. We ALL ARE.
I am not a criminal atty, but sounds to me like husband conspired and is an accessory. Both are felonies. It's going to likely be you, him, or both of you. Your BEST 'friend' is your defense attorney.
You have also made a full confession on the Internet. You really need to confer with attorney and take ALL of his/her advice.
God Bless
The only way you're going to move forward through this is by being compassionate with yourself and showing yourself some grace. You're not trying to shift responsibility, or deny accountability, but you've got to give yourself a break! Stop beating yourself up! Recognize what is in your control and what is not and just work on the things that you can change. Take your power back that you've surrendered to the situation.
I know the destruction that looking back and regret can do to a person. I've seen people robbed of their futures because they can't stop looking back, because they can't forgive themselves. Not only are they robbed of their futures, but their children are too; they're so wrapped up in the cycle of beating themselves up that they don't recognize the wonderful 'now moment' that they have with their loved ones.
Yes, you made a mistake. Yes, there will be consequences, but you can and will get through this. You really will. Take care.
You need to have a sit-down with your parents and let them know what's going on. If you were charged and booked at the Precinct and had mugshots taken, if anyone types your name into a google or bing search, your Booking Record and Mug Shots will come up via mugshots.com...its that easy. Regardless of your parents relationship with your husband they need to know about your charges and Court date. It would be unlikely, but what if you get jail time? What about your kids? Your parents need to know whats going on.
Hopefully since you don't have a Record, you'll get Probation, usually at least a year and some type of Community Service and a fine. Once you complete your Probation if you've not gotten in any more trouble, the charges are expunged from your Record.
Your husband needs to get a job, because you now have a Felony charge on your Record and it will come up on every background check any prospective employer does for you. So until you work through your charges and get your Record clear again, getting decent work may be hard for you.
As for your husband, I'm not sure if I were you if I'd be okay with his blase attitude, when his actions are what are causing your legal troubles. I would definitely talk to your Lawyer, when you get one about your husbands involvement, because he should not just be sitting pretty while your doing all the stressful legal stuff.
As others have said, looking back doesn't do much good. Now its time to focus on getting through the judicial system and talking to your parents about all of this.
Take care and I wish you well.
