Not sure if you have had this happen to you ,,but it happens to me ,,,,Over the course of time,,,you write to people and they write you back..you help them through some trauma or difficult situation ,,,they write you back once or MAYBE twice ,,and then they move on,,and you never hear anything from them again,,,,,this seems to happen over and over again,,I know well,,,it is in the nature of the medium....still it is rude and a terrible thing to do to anyone,,,that is just me,,,

You mean on THIS site? You haven't specified but we're kind of ships that pass sometimes on here. People are in a strange state of mind and that's why they are here. Sometimse a person is maybe a little too low to keep communicating or can't at the moment,, or maybe they did move on...? It's not a reflection on you, hopefully they are doing okay. Hugs.

I know with me when I'm in a really bad way I become anti social and go into a sort of "hiding" faze. I'm ok with being called rude for that, but it's the way I am.

I think that some people see DS as a "healing place" where they can come when they need help and leave when they are better. They don't get the balance thing: be helped by others AND help others.

There are enough good people here who give back when I need help that I can ignore the people who are all take and no give. But it still makes me a bit angry and sad.

Isn't it nice to think that these people have been touched and helped by your words and have faced life without this place?

I know I only comment when I have something to contribute. So many times, by the time I get to a post, someone else has already said what I would have said, only better, that I don't answer at all. It's not rudeness, but a lack of something to say.

My own idea on this is that everyone has a voice that has something in it that can be helpful,,,it has nothing to do with what others say or don't say, or how or why they said it...that is why I think and try as I can to contribute no matter what,,,
