Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
i think it`s just a matter of perspective changing. every change like that now means i take home even less of my pay cheque, and i still have my own student loan to pay off. i do NOT agree with hiking the price of education up to the point which is being proposed and am especially disgusted with the liberal "democrats" (although i have a feeling they may have been steamrollered) but nor do i think smashing up prince charles car will help their cause. education requires staff, facilities and a host of other expenses that need to be covered and uni`s experience cuts pretty much every year, so i don`t feel asking people to pay for the education they receive is unfair in the interests of keeping staff and facilities at a decent level. asking them to pay a disproportionate amount, however, is.
when the pictures all show students who are so achingly hipster and attending some of the universities reserved for the already-wealthy, my sympathy starts to wane, simply from the experience of having to spend 3 years pretty much broke as i was paying my own fees, but those were in the circumstances i was dealt, i understand that the goalposts have now moved.
personally i think a good way to start putting money into the pot would be to take a quick look at parliament and question whether or not the asses on those benches (literally as well as figuratively) are justifed in THEIR wages, but as ever, the lords and ladies will roll on through and the workers will foot the bill, shit only slides downwards :(
and i`ll admit to being one of those "i have work" people. because i do. if i don`t then i can`t pay rent/bills and then i`m double-fucked, so send me an online petition and i`ll sign it, but hand me a sign and i`ll give it back, no matter how you raise your voice, without a title it`ll just be ignored :(
I dont have to pay for my higher education, I am grateful for it too but when the nation is against this decision, it proves this is no democracy. Constantly whining about money, how about bringing our occupation force home? That would save a bunch.
Most of those complaining directly about the students seem to have got their opinion from the Sun rather than thought, they also seem to be those without children at the moment that may have to go through this.
I know you only pay the fees once you earn 21,000 a year but given the rate of inflation, if that minimum doesnt change, the average wage will be 21,000 in under 20 years.
Question time was reasonably good to watch last night. University lecturers who are just as against this as the students. It is just another part of the current economic lie that we are being fed.
Petitions, peaceful protest and marches have never accomplished a thing in this country and it wont change. Direct action is required although being violent may not be the ideal, its probably the best option.
As for Charles and Camilla, another pointless money drain.
You speak your mind about life in general and suddenly everyone thinks you're a bitch. Let's censor her. She's not saying what we want to hear. Don't forget to duct tape her mouth. She is nothing but a rabble rouser, a troublemaker. We want sugarcoated bullshit on a spoon, not the truth.
But sometimes, working against injustices WORKS. Neighbours and friends joined together to fight and close a compost facility nearby. It was fine on paper; it seemed like a "green" solution to a lot of recyclable and organic household waste.
But they had started taking in illegal and sometimes toxic waste (yes, for $$$$$), and stinking up our neighbourhood & polluting the environment. People banded together and got it closed, and the people in charge were fined. And we were all middle-agers, and people with young families.
Now, someone's got the bad idea to build townhouses in a stretch of land that borders our neighbourhood, and is one of the only original greenbelts left in the area. It's also a watershed for many creeks. Husband, who normally can't get too excited about anything, is very angry about this. He plans to fight this development, and see it fail. He's already taken some first steps. That's a good thing.
So, rebels are still out there. Maybe they're not flipping cars or starting fires, but they're out there. And they are pissed-off.
educated people will question what governments are doing.
keep people unable to afford higher education and you end up with a less educated nation, more likely to tow the line.

It must be so hard to walk around constantly doubting everyone and everything around you. I'm not saying don't be informed. But life isn't an episode of FRINGE or THE X-FILES. But believe what you want to believe. Peace.
Islamic radicals HATE US. They'd been planning this for years. Sheeple are people who follow that dumbo Obama. What an idiot we have in the Oval Office. And you have zero facts. Facts are things that can BE PROVEN beyond a shadow of a doubt. Good luck with that.
For an insight into that check this reaction to the mention of Benjamin Freedman (a whistleblower from the Jewish elite who revealed just why people might've disliked Jews in Germany)
Please note, I do not at all hate Jews. I do disagree with Zionism and Israels takeover of Palestine.
As further research here is B.H Freedmans speech on none other than..youtube. A really interesting listen.. and a real explanation of why we let Israel get away with whatever they want. No conspiracy, just history.

That's the attitude governments love. Here's a great insight into how the term 'conspiracy theory/theorist'
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...The term Conspiracy Theory is, at the present time, used mostly as a derogatory term to condemn an idea (or set of ideas) that is contrary to the often presupposed claims of an established order, specifically in regard to an act of criminal conduct.
The technical definition of Conspiracy has a few variations, the most common being : 1)an agreement to perform together an illegal, treacherous, or evil act 2) a secret agreement between two or more people to perform an unlawful act.
A detailed example, in 1953 Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh was overthrown in a coup organized by the United States' CIA. A pure Government Conspiracy by every possible definition. It wasn't until the CIA declassified its secret plan, years later, that more extensive details were finally known, such as paid fake protests, false flag events and other propaganda. This is now public knowledge... and the point to be made is that you can bet that there were journalists covering these events which got wind of the CIA connections and attempted to speculate on the true nature of the event itself. You can also bet that they were dismissed as crazy Conspiracy Theorists at that time as well, though likely not with the same derogatory term.
So, again, the use of this term, coupled with the even more derogatory distinction of the Conspiracy Theorist, is to take anything that is not inline with the current, accepted explanations of the establishment and dismiss them as mere Conspiracy Theories, when in fact they are really alternative conspiracy theories to the existing official conspiracy theories. It is one sided, in other words. As another example, the 9/11 Commission openly admits that there are many details they don't know about in regard to the events of September 11th. Hence, they have their Official Conspiracy Theory, while others might have Alternative Conspiracy Theories. It is simply a double standard. Very simply, the establishment chooses to present their theory as fact, when it cannot technically be defined as such, based on the reality of missing information, which is constant in almost every case of known criminal conspiracies, historically.
So, as a neurotic result of this, today you hear people blindly say: I don't believe in Conspiracy Theories. This irrational disposition shows the power of both social conditioning and denial in regard to taboo topics or inconvenient conclusions. These minds have been conditioned to not even consider the possibility that an alternative view could exist for certain historical criminal events which are contrary to the prevailing conclusions of the established order. This fear is maintained by the derogatory, debasing notions propagated, which often include associating these alternative conspiracy theorists with holocaust deniers, big-foot hunters, and those who think Elvis is hanging out in Area 51, etc...."

Also, the US government and many other governments have taken part in false flag attacks throughout history. If something is not unprecedented it is certainly not impossible. Proving or disproving it has shown to be something beyond both parties... (9/11)

If they did it in Vietnam, why not 9/11? Now, for all the hours I've wasted presenting hard evidence to right wing ideologues, I've never had someone come to me and say 'I am sorry, it seems I was wrong' but hey it's worth a try. Nobodies asking you to say 'yes indeed it was' or even to change your view, but you cannot dismiss the question being asked as simple conspiracy theory. Any history buff knows that's quite naive.
It's like a virgin saying I've never had sex, so nobody has ever had sex, ever. It's absurd. Just because we aren't aware of it or we haven't experienced it, it doesn't mean it's not possible.

was meant to go up the top RE: alex jones.
If I were a criminal government, I'd feed the kookiest guy around all the information so nobody would take him seriously and it'd create arguments just like this one. =P
