I love good ole' southern comfort food like my mom's chicken & dumplin's. ( the best in the world! )
Beef stew, cheese grits.. the list could go on.
and I'm a ' salt ' girl so Bill you can have the fritos, give me the industrial size bag of crunchy Cheetos!
Beef stew or pot roast with gravy and mashed potatoes and veggies is rather high on my list.
I love mac and cheese with ham bits in it!
As for ice cream, I like vanilla with chocolate sauce and/or chocolate chips. Marble fudge is good too!
I love ribs!
If it comes from the BBQ, odds are I find it very comfortable to eat!
Don't knock my cheese grits til you try em.
so you can double yukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk em all day long.
I have a lot of people who love em. It's called ' comfort food'..
and funny how so many people dog grits who have never eaten them.
Have you? I respect if you have and don't like them. To each his own.. but you haven't had my cheese grits. :P~
you know I adore you!
Hmmm, grits? LMT: if you give me the recipe I'll try to make them and let you know what I think!
My mom used to make corned beef and hominy. She also made an interesting casserole out of cream of chicken soup, spaghetti noodles and crab meat. Sometimes she added chopped hard boiled eggs.
Me hungry too; me just finish dinner.
My go to comfort foods are ice cream #1,
tater chips, almost any sweet baked goody,
and something I don't eat anymore is mack n cheese. melted cheese on anything!
I think we need a giant Lazy Susan table in the middle and lounge chairs n bean bags around the room. Save room for homemade lasagna!
I used to remember those old commercials for butterfinger bars, which I like BTW. Nobody better lay a finger on my butterfinger. It really made me think what they were really talking about when they said it LMAO.
Then there was another junk food commercial for a bag of chips, it always ended with, get your own bag. And there was also a pringles commercial like that, once you pop you can't stop. Hmm, usually after I pop I need to stop just sayin. LMAO
Oh only I could turn something about food into something so well, lets just say an adult novelty lol.
