Don't you think? After you read below, answer this question:
DO YOU THINK YOU ARE A GOOD ACTOR/ACTRESS? Why or why not?
Like most people who know me and DON'T know I have depression would never guess that I have it! I am alway so cheery and happy you wouldn't think I was ever down! When I have told these same people eventually about my depression, they are surprised! I just tell them I'm a pretty good actress and if I was thin I could go to Hollywood! LOL.
My sister called and told me that one of the teachers at the school she teaches at killed herself over the weekend, on Sat. and so they let all the faculty know about it.
My sister doesn't have depression like I do and she said that this lady always seemed happy enough but there must be underlying things going on that we don't know about. I mentioned to my sister that those of us w/depression are all pretty good actors when it comes right down to it.
Hell, if I ever did kill myself there would be a great many that would be floored and not understand it. But those of us with depression DO understand this demon inside of us that takes away our happiness, time, activities, and sometimes life.
We haven't heard how this teacher did it yet. She had only been married (for a 2nd time) for a month! I wonder if her new husband is surprised also.

Sometimes I think that I really am, but others not so much. I'm usually a really happy person. But recently, my nominations are few and far between as far as hiding how I feel.

I've ALWAYS hid it from my friends. Just didn't wanna be the"downer" so I always plastered a smile and it made me feel better...temporarily. I have a kid with Cystic Fibrosis and everyone says "wow, you've really held it together" cause I just had a cousin die from it a year before she was diagnosed. I hid my pain of knowing that I would lose my beautiful baby, and still do. I try not to stew on it for her sake and the sake of my husband who is really sensitive to her and cries a lot over her. Now, I got messed up in drugs to make me feel like I could "do it all" and keep it together and still have my smiling face and sunny disposition. NOT GOOD!! LET IT OUT GIRL!! BEFORE YOU SNAP, please, the more we hold in, the worse it is, talk, don't just get medicine and cross your fingers. You have to let it out!

I have never hid it from my close friends, and to everyone else I have just 'came out' as such. Told my parents a couple of weeks ago and with that other friends as well. But I have never been the best a hiding it. when I'm down I just avoid everyone, curl up in bed with the blind down. so people only see me really when I'm in a normal mood.
