Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
FWIW: I am unemployed (my unemployment ran out), I am on food stamps, and I have no income. So I do understand your plight.
Does your state office offer other options. They usually have other resources available. there are also non-profit organizations that offer help with rent assistance when you're down on your luck.
Good Luck

TONS of hits. You need to do this soon ...
Sending you massive (((((hugs))))) and hopes you'll work out OK.
Have you not applied for SSI or SSDI yet? It may take awhile but I think you should look into that. From what I read on here in your post you are clearly not able to work. Vet gave you a list of homeless shelters for women. I know you don't want to go but you need to check them out asap. Some of them have a waiting list so you need to start soon.
You can also call Churches and explain your situation. Some of them will help with rent. They have paid mine before. If one says no, keep calling until you find the right one. Get the numbers from the phone book or online.
There are also Non Profit organization that deal with this only. Do you have a social worker, if so, he/she can help you find one. Here we have Voleenters of America. I think they are located everywhere. Try looking that up and Community Hands also. There are plenty more and maybe one of them can give you a list.
I am assuming you don't have food either? The churches have food bank to help you with this. Don't be ashamed to ask for help. That is what some of them have programs for. I went shopping at a church closet yesterday. I needed clothes. They had beautiful things, most with the price tag still on. We are going to join that church but I do not have the clothes to go to church. I outgrew all of my nice clothes.
Please file for SSI or SSDI. You will more than likely be turned down the first time. Then you get an attorney (who can only take 25% after you win) and they will help you through the process.
Yes, mine took 5 years but Ken got his in as little as 6 months.
Apply for food stamps, free medical clinics, etc. There is a lot of help out there. You just have to look for it. Good luck to you Heretic. I hope you find some help.
I know you don't want to get rid or your things, but sometime we just have to start over. You can also make money at a yard sale. I did. I lost everything but God has returned it all to me and more. I hope you decide to look for help, you are too special here to end it all over stuff.
The only thing is that people here, and those around you, would miss out on so much. There's only one you, and that one person is such an inspirational, creative woman. I hold you in the very highest esteem, I admire your creativity and use you as a role model.
Don't give up my friend. I cannot even imagine how you must be feeling, but to lose you would be beyond a tragedy. I can't casually say you'll be OK, because I can't say you will, but I hoe for so much, and I know you are a unique and special person who can never, ever be replaced.
Please remember, you're an amazing woman.
I know that you are going through a really sucky time. Try to see this as an opportunity to regroup. Look for work on a regular basis and you'll feel better about yourself.
Good luck kid.
