Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Went back to the hospital last night and stayed all night and this morning in the intensive care waiting room. The waiting room was packed with people of loved ones whom had been hurt over the weekend. None though quite as tragic as ours though many very sad.
They took Ricky (Richard) in for a second catscan at 1am this morning and said they wouldnt have any updates until later in the morning. Through the rest of the hours his blood pressure kep droping and they kept changing medicines to try and get it back up. At this point he was on total life support. The drs. and nurses came back it later with the scan and told us that there wasnt any blood flow from the neck up and at some time during the night, maybe when they had taken him for the scan, he had suffered heart failure. The showed Al the scan and explained that his white and gray brain matter was all mushed together and his eyes ere still dilated and did not have response to light. They took one more catscan and then told us pretty much that he really wasnt with us anymore. They asked Annette if she wanted to donate any body parts etc but also told her that the only thing that might not have been affected by the accident was the liver. She asked Al and Als ex what they said and they said no lets not keep him on life support and make the kids suffer anymore then they already have. If they would have tried to donate something then he would have been on life support for atleast another 48 hours. The kids said no. At that time they gave Annette the time to call everyone who wanted to say goodbye to Ricky.
We had the room full of about fifty people, they all said there goodbyes and did a family prayer and then the drs. said anyone who wanted to stay when they pulled the plugs would be allowed to stay if Annette wanted it. Most stayed but my son Dakota and I chose to leave. I couldnt handle any more. He was gone within five minutes after they took him off of life support.
This is one of the saddest days of my life. If I ever had to bury one of my own kids, I dont think I would have make it through it. This man was loved by everyone who knew him, the people that worked for him, neighbors and friends. He will be so missed. I will add more to my journal later as I have not had any sleep.
Thank you so much for the prayers. Im sure that he must have been needed more elsewhere. I know that I will miss him dearly and his mom, Jocell and Al are devastated. Not to mention his wife and kids... Thanks again for the prayers. I love you guys.. You are my rock.. Y'Vonne
RIP Ricky Ault.. You were a prince..

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Wishing you and your family the best during this difficult time.
