Those movies had the potential to look at the vampire genre in a new and fresh way...and failed miserably. I don't know if they were badly written (never read the books so I can't compare), badly acted or what...but they were just romance movies with a supernatural twist thrown in.
Give me a bloody-fanged, scary ass vampire any day :)
it's true.
let's see those vamps after they have lived a few hundred years and been in some scrapes....burned, hunted, drank blood from a dead person, etc.
Interview with the Vampire....my fave vampy movie.
Twighlight, The Vampire Diaries. All gash angsty bollox because Vampires know how hard it is to fit in. Pfft!
For my money, the vampires in 30 Days of Night kicked some serious ass.
Grrrr.
I watched Let the Right one In the other night. The film is shit compared to the book because it leaves out a massive part of the story that makes the whole thing creepy.
Twilight strikes me as "Saved by the Bell" with prosthetic fangs.
hahahahaaaaaaaaaaa....ahhh, i kill me.
Sarcasm, it's juicy.
I just bought L et the right one in. Very unimpressed that they did a fucking remake. The subtitled original was a great film. Tbh, and this is very bad form especially from an English student, I didn't know it was based on a book until I saw said book in eh shop the other day. Hence my need to buy it immediately :)
Got loads of other stuff to read first like Paradise Lost (if it ever arrives) in order to get my uni work done and I'm currently in the middle of about five books, maybe six.
