Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

It looks like I wont be able to go back to college till either summer or fall semester because my teachers have yet to get back to me about posting my grades so I can send my transcripts to the college I want! This just means I'm gonna have to wait, also looking for apartments is near impossible since I live 4 hours away from the area I want to move to. I'm losing my mind at home with my Dad's severe PTSD but I have no choice. My cat just turned 14 and it looks like he wont make it past the next month, I still have small feelings for my ex but I just heard from a friend that his new girlfriend is the sweetest and they are so happy. Dont get me wrong im happy for him but the sting is still there. There is so much I have to get done and out of the way but I cant till certain people get back to me. This is my biggest pet peeve, when I dont have a set timeline to figure out what to do next and all I'm stuck doing is waiting and waiting.
I am stressed, I am scared, I am worried and I am running out of tissues.

I recently heard a great 2007 song the other day, "Falling Slowly" because it popped up in my newsfeed, accompanied by the sad news that the male singer, Glen Hansard, just died in a motorcycle accident. I learned that the song won an award and was featured in an indie movie called Once. I just watched it, and it's really good. They made it in 3 weeks on a $100,000 budget. It's streaming on...

As to ex's 'sweetest thing' LOL. That stuff cracks me up.
My 'ex' control freak screwup has gone and got himself an Indian girl and they're married now. well, of course he has. All his values are personified in her.
Terror of a woman talking back to him in any way on any level, disgust and horror of anyone having an ounce of fat on them, Offence at ever being disagreed with and annoyance at ever having anything asked of him.
I look at that and can only give her my most heartfelt condolences. He certainly is very charming till you get to know him. I know indian women are raised to be subservient, obedient, submissive, but the poor thing had made it to free, open New Zealand and thought she was marrying a western man.... and she's locked back in that nightmare box so tight she might as well have never left india. No, worse. I think Indian men are less repressive mostly.
Yes. Look kindly upon the poor dear. Whenever you hear about her, nod sympathetically. Poor girl. No matter if it's not true and he was god's gift to humanity: play it. It'll cheer you up. :p
