Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
So, several weeks ago, I decided to have another go and apply for several jobs. I'm finally got responses. "No position currently available......blah..blah. blah....Thank you for you interest." Every single one of them. It's been over 6 years, I'm over-educated, under-skilled. have no references or , what's that word they toss around, "network" as well as no "passion." I just want a job to pay my bills and may be buy the occasional book. I will only give the minimum effort.. That's all I can offer, no more. It's a paycheck, nothing more.
P.S. If they still ask that "Where do you see yourself in five years?," my response would be, "I don't know. What did the people you laid off 3 years ago say they were going to be?"

Sometimes places have open houses, like Costco. I kno you r more qualified but if its a paycheck you're looking for.
I've spent years depressed over this issue. Endless temp agencies. What about a daycare center? You have to do a little ach day..it's depressing..but others r in the same boat.
When u feel optimistic, use that time to go online and inquire, you never know.
